Discipleship

    There is a growing "Discipleship Reformation" building in this country. There are even signs of it in NE Ohio! In a recent Bill Hull "Choose The Life" Discipleship conference at a local church in NE Ohio, we were provided with these insights as to why he wrote the book by the same name, "Choose The Life".

• The realization that as a senior pastor of a large church he was welcoming new members into something (the church) that wasn’t working.
• All the formulas, strategic planning, mission statements,  and visionary sermons were not making disciples.
• As the “disciple-making pastor” he was being broken and God was reshaping him from an aloof pastor promoting programs, methods and activities, to a shepherd, humbling himself before his sheep and refocusing his ministry to highly relational (NT/Jesus model) discipleship process where life transformation will happen.
